Recent Progress in Reducing Georgia's Income Tax Dear [firstname],   As Georgians across the state begin to receive estimates of their tax assessments, I want to highlight House Bill 1015, which was passed during the 2024 legislative session. This bill reduces Georgia’s income tax rate for personal income for the year 2024 to 5.39% from 5.49%. The passage of this legislation provides much-needed tax relief at a time when families and businesses continue to confront the burden of rising costs and skyrocketing inflation that those in DC have placed on them.    I look forward to working with Governor Kemp and the General Assembly to eventually eliminate the state income tax in Georgia.
